Help Students Thrive through Mentoring - Mandurah and Pinjarra What Youll Be Doing: Support a school student who needs a bit of one-on-one time with a caring adult. Enjoy getting to know each other through chats, games and/or fun activities. Offer guidance, encouragement and a positive outlook if they are facing challenges. Spend one hour a week together at school with the support of staff and EdConnect. You enjoy connecting: Able to interact warmly with children, school staff, and fellow volunteers. You enjoy connecting with children from diverse backgrounds. You are a team player: Ready to collaborate and contribute to a dedicated team. You are reliable: Punctual and dependable, ensuring a consistent listening ear for the student. You are happy to complete screening and training: We will support you to complete the screening checks and training modules we need to keep students safe. Requirements: A belief in young peoples potential and a willingness to share your time and patience. Consistency and reliability to be there for students when they need it most. We will assist you to get a Working with Children Check and Education Police Clearance. Category: Young People Commitment: Regular - more than 6 months Type Of Work: Companionship & Social Support, Education & Training, Tutoring & Coaching, Time Required: Short time, big difference From one hour a week on a day that works for both you and the school, during school terms. Training: Youll have access to friendly, easy-to-understand training workshops to get started.
