Manager, Communications & Student Exchange At the NSW Department of Education, we educate and inspire lifelong learners – from early childhood, through schooling to vocational education and training. Ongoing Full-Time employment Located in Eveleigh with flexible working arrangements, requiring two days of in-office attendance per week Salary ranges from $129,464 to $142,665 p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave loading About the role The Manager, Communications and Student Exchange sits within DE International in the Student Support and Specialist Programs directorate. The role leads DE International’s communications, regulates the Secondary Student Exchange Program in NSW, coordinates departmental international relations, and supports the department’s compliance with Australia’s Foreign Relations Scheme. Lead DE International’s communications, including web, social media, events, campaigns and publications Regulate the Secondary Student Exchange Program and advise schools and committees Coordinate international delegations and strengthen engagement with global partners Manage compliance with Australia’s Foreign Arrangements Scheme and provide expert advice Direct alumni engagement through the International Student Ambassador Program Prepare high-quality briefs, submissions and correspondence for the Minister and senior executives About you Experience in international education or communications Knowledge of brand guidelines, style guides, accessibility, privacy and copyright requirements Program management experience Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people. Essential requirements of the role Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) for paid employment Valid NSW driver licence Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education. Renewal is not required after the WWCC expires, as long as you remain in a non‑child‑related role. Employer obligations only apply while the WWCC is valid.
