About our role Northern Star has a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Health and Safety Advisor to join the team at our Thunderbox operations on a permanent basis across an 8 days on / 6 days off roster FIFO from Perth Reporting into the HSEC Manager and Safety Superintendent The incumbent will ensure compliance with client, regulatory, and internal safety standards, driving a strong safety culture across our operations. Provide support and technical guidance on risk management incident investigations and operational controls in accordance with industry guidelines Promote a positive safety culture which includes continuous improvement in HST strategies, initiatives, systems, and practices Attend daily pre‑start meetings an regular safety meetings to champion safe workplace practices Assist with investigating and reporting accidents and incidents as required Attend regular safety meetings to promote safe work practices and a healthy and safe workplace Working closely with supervisors and crews on safety leadership and compliance Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations Build strong relationships with site teams and maintain site visibility to drive a positive safety culture To thrive in this role, you'll need : Experience : 3+ years experience in a similar safety role, ICAM Lead Investigation Training, INX (desirable) Knowledge : Sound understanding of the Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation and statutory requirements. Excellent relationship building skills Qualifications : Certificate IV in Work Safety and Health or Diploma in Work Safety and Health. Current WA manual drivers licence Passion for Growth : Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate clearly, listen actively, and work seamlessly alongside others.
