The role We are currently seeking a Manager – Pavements, ANZ to provide leadership and operational direction to the activities of the Pavements technical capability in collaboration with other sector leaders and in consideration of the wider SMEC business. As a national role, we are open to the position being based out of our offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth or Adelaide. Responsibilities Provide operational, technical and business development direction for the Pavements capability to support SMEC’s vision and values. Ensure capability development and mobilisation of the Pavements capability nationally. Manage national client relationships. Qualifications 20+ years’ industry experience, recognised as an authority in the transport infrastructure design market. Manager / Lead roles in similar engineering consulting organisations, demonstrating the ability to consistently manage multi‑disciplinary projects successfully, to budget and client specifications. Build trusting and productive client relationships. Produce tender/proposal documents of an excellent standard and in a timely manner. Manage a team effectively for performance and cohesion.
