The role We are currently seeking a Manager – Pavements, ANZ who provides leadership and operational direction to the activities of the Pavements technical capability in collaboration with other sector leaders. This national role may be based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth or Adelaide. This position drives the operations, technical excellence, and delivery performance of the Pavements capability at SMEC, with the objective of growing the SMEC Infrastructure function through optimal people, commercial, business development, client relationship management and project performance. Responsibilities Provide operational, technical and business development direction for the Pavements capability to support SMEC’s vision and values. Ensure capability development and mobilisation of the Pavements capability nationally. Manage national client relationships. Role model SMEC values, ethics and code of conduct and ensure all business activities comply with guiding principles. Qualifications 20+ years’ industry experience, recognised as an authority in the transport infrastructure design market. Demonstrated experience in Manager/Lead roles within engineering consulting organisations. Manage multi-disciplinary projects successfully, to budget and client specifications. Build trusting and productive client relationships. Produce tender/proposal documents of an excellent standard and in a timely manner. Manage a team effectively for performance and cohesion.
