About the Role As a Personal Carer you'll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life. Responsibilities Spend your time on the road completing scheduled visits and interacting one‑on‑one with clients within their homes supporting with daily activities Provide in‑home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing Deliver care in accordance with each client’s individualised Care Plan Support clients with community‑based recreational and social activities Assist with transportation, shopping and appointments Role Requirements Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or an equivalent qualification - Essential Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum) - Essential Roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum) vehicle to use for work - Essential Experience with technology including smartphones, tablets, laptops etc Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies Employee Benefits Salary packaging of everyday living expenses and bills (up to $15,900) and meal entertainment (up to $2,650) per annum Employee discounts at hundreds of retailers, holidays, health insurance, annual awards celebration, wellbeing and employee assistance programs 12 weeks paid parental leave and 2 weeks paid partner leave after 6 months of service, in addition to the government scheme Diversity and inclusive leave options (paid and unpaid) for cultural events such as Lunar New Year, Diwali, Ramadan, NAIDOC weeks Career development opportunities Child Safe and Child Friendly UnitingCare is committed to being a Child Safe, Child Friendly organisation.
