About the company My client is a growing FMCG business headquartered in Archerfield with an established brand and track record. To support the continued success and sustainable growth of the company, a new role has been created for a commercial analyst to join the team and play a key role in decision making. About the role Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for providing data based insight and guiding decision making. Using the company’s BI tool, you will work closely with the senior leadership team across sales, distribution, warehousing and logistics to create dashboards of key metrics that pinpoint opportunities for margin improvement, efficiency saving and revenue growth. Alongside the CFO, you will drive the budgeting and forecasting process and support the Pricing Manager with insights, trends and data. You will be involved in route optimisation for the company’s vehicle fleet and will support the CFO with financial modelling and due diligence on potential acquisition targets. There will be plenty of ad‑hoc work in this position and you will have the scope and autonomy to make the role your own. You will also provide backup to the financial accountant. What you’ll bring CA or CPA qualified, you will be an experienced commercial analyst / management accountant with the ability to deep dive into the detail to slice and dice data but also have a strategic and commercial mindset. You will be a strong communicator, easily able to partner with senior management around financial information and translate data and insight into everyday language suitable for the business unit you are working with. You will have a strong improvement mindset and be comfortable with a lack of existing reporting and frameworks as you will create this.
