AI & NLP Developer / Co-founder – ESG and Corporate Reporting Platform (Melbourne based) We are building a next-generation AI-powered platform that revolutionizes ESG and corporate reporting. This is a sensitive role as the platform deals with regulatory reporting and compliance-critical data. Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain AI/NLP components for ESG and corporate reporting. Implement document parsing, structured/unstructured data extraction (PDF, Word, OCR) and advanced NLP pipelines. Collaborate with backend teams to integrate AI models with FastAPI/Flask/Django services and deploy on cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). Ensure data quality, compliance with ESG reporting standards and regulatory requirements. Act as a co-founder, contributing to strategic decisions, product vision and team growth from the ground up. Qualifications Strong Python skills and experience with ML/NLP libraries (Hugging Face, Transformers, PyTorch, TensorFlow). Experience with document parsing and structured/unstructured data extraction (PDF, Word, OCR). Knowledge of supervised/unsupervised learning, embeddings, and zero/few-shot learning. Experience with backend frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django) and databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB). Familiarity with financial/ESG reporting standards is a plus. Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker) is a plus. Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently. Experience with generative AI or LLMs for automated report generation is nice to have. Experience in scenario analysis or financial modeling is nice to have.
