Polish Speaking Social Volunteer, Residential Aged Care Home, Waratah NSW Spread Joy by joining our Volunteer Team The HammondCare Volunteer program offers you an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the life of an older person right here in Hunter NSW. What you’ll do Sit with and chat in Polish with an elderly person living with dementia. Reminisce and discuss topics of interest to help improve the visitor’s daily experience. Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation and enhance quality of life. Qualifications Ability to speak Polish conversationally. Compassionate, patient, and respectful towards older adults. Category Seniors & Aged Care Commitment Regular – more than 6 months Type of Work Companionship & Social Support, Seniors & Aged Care Time Required One‑hour visits between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Sunday. Visits may be weekly or fortnightly, depending on your availability. Training Training and ongoing support will be provided by a local Volunteer Coordinator.
