About the role: DEP Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior ASP3 Design Engineer to join our growing and versatile team based in Sutherland, NSW. In this role, you will manage design programs from start to finish, taking ownership of all aspects, including schedules, budgets, and execution. You will drive results, manage client expectations, and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget. As a team leader, you will mentor and guide Design Engineers, helping them grow while fostering a collaborative, high‑performance environment. We’ll look to you for: Leading design programs from initiation to completion, overseeing all technical, operational, and team management aspects. Managing client expectations and communicating project progress to ensure satisfaction throughout. Mentoring and developing Design Engineers and Graduate Engineers, helping them achieve their professional goals. Reviewing and interpreting project design plans, site investigations, and supply authority plans. Conducting site inspections, identifying constraints, and preparing design documentation, reports, and plans. Creating and reviewing concept, preliminary, and final designs while liaising with internal teams, clients, and external authorities. Driving continuous improvement initiatives and simplifying processes for greater efficiency. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams. About you: Tertiary Electrical qualification or a related discipline. Level 3 ASP Design experience in NSW is essential. 5 + years of experience in electrical distribution design. Strong technical knowledge in voltage drop, fault loop impedance, earthing, and cable pulling design. Excellent leadership skills, with experience mentoring and developing high‑performing teams. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively manage client relationships. Strong problem‑solving, organisational, and time management abilities. Ideally proficient in some or all of the following: AutoCAD, Neara, PLS CAD, Neuron Earthing, 3E Earthing, Cable Pull, and Workflow Max. Eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia is preferred.
