Role Detail Our Corporate Hospitality team delivers five‑star service across boardroom dining, catering major events, cocktail functions and more. As Waiter Team Leader you’ll oversee day‑to‑day operations guiding both permanent and casual staff to deliver seamless world‑class service. Based in our Melbourne CBD office reporting to the Guest Services Manager this hands‑on role is about leading by example inspiring your team and creating a front‑of‑house experience that sets the standard every time. Key responsibilities Lead and support the waiter team through daily briefings, meetings, feedback and handovers with the Guest Services Manager Act as the main contact between waitstaff and other teams (Events, Kitchen, Reception) Plan and deliver events from start to finish including post‑event follow ups Manage stock including wine / spirits recording and ordering for upcoming functions Ensure rooms and events meet service and presentation standards at all times Role‑model exceptional client service and proactively seek feedback Oversee team administration: rosters, invoices, recharge management, expenditure tracking and process updates Assist with hospitality tasks where needed (kitchenettes, coffee machines, sandwich prep, reception cover) Maintain professional grooming and uniform standards across the team Promote team engagement, skills development and continuous improvement Support firm‑wide initiatives and complete ad‑hoc tasks as required About You If you’re an experienced leader with a collaborative leadership style and solid background in corporate boardrooms or luxury hotel environments chances are you’re what we’re looking for. We’d also love to see: Strong people‑focused leadership skills – demonstrated experience supervising a team and overseeing performance Exceptional food & beverage and client service skills demonstrating a high level of professionalism, discretion and courtesy at all times Solid knowledge of espresso coffee as well as wine and food service Impeccable presentation standards Events coordination experience including ability to communicate with broader teams to ensure smooth service (Kitchen, Cafe, Reception etc.) PC skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite (knowledge of computer‑based booking systems for conference rooms or restaurants desirable) and experience with Point of Sale systems Certified in responsible service of alcohol (RSA) or willingness to obtain Hospitality certifications highly regarded and … Next Steps Please click Apply Now to apply online with your cover letter summarising why you’re applying and your resume to support your experience.
