About the business Laucke Flour Mills is a family owned business and is the market leading manufacturer of specialty flours and mixes for home, food service and trade. Milling both conventional and certified organic grains, Laucke have a special focus on human health and the unique properties of individual grain varieties. About the Role We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated and organised Procurement Officer to join our team based in our Bridgewater site. Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you will ensure that the procurement process is cost-effective, timely, and aligns with our quality standards. This is an important role in maintaining positive supplier relationships, ensuring efficient procurement processes, and contributing to business growth through effective INPD support and market insights. Responsibilities Managing supply, quality and price risk appropriately and ensuring ERP system accurately reflects RM demand, cost, configuration and contracted commitments Procure all raw materials to effect best value including quality and price, in a timely manner Liaise with and look for opportunities with suppliers and service providers to negotiate the best contract for supply Effective use of the ERP system, with particular focus on material requirements planning and inventory control Assist in new product development (NPD) process as required Ensure that work practices conform exactly to the appropriate QMS Work Instructions and Procedures To be successful in this role you will have Experience in Procurement or Supply chain management preferably in a food manufacturing environment Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel and data management Excellent interpersonal & communication skills Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Willingness to learn and show initiative "Hands-on" approach to all tasks to support and drive operational performance #J-18808-Ljbffr
