Senior Occupational Therapist – Soaring Health Sport, Wellness & Community Centre Location: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia The role offers the opportunity to work in a state‑of‑the‑art allied health centre that provides services across six clinics in Melbourne. Our dedicated team delivers onsite, remote, and in‑home services in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Psychology, Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, Dietetics and allied health care. Develop clients’ skills in self‑care, self‑management, home management, and community/work/school reintegration. Educate and support individuals, family members, caregivers, and others through collaborative and consultative partnerships and family‑centered approaches. Coordinate care, manage cases, provide transition services, discharge planning, client advocacy and onward referral to relevant services. Modify environments (e.g., home, work, school, community) and adapt processes, applying ergonomic principles. Assess, customise, and oversee equipment provision including orthotic devices and provide training in the use of prosthetic devices. Support driver rehabilitation and community mobility. Use natural contexts for assessment and intervention (home, school, workplace, community). Apply a range of therapeutic procedures to enhance performance (e.g., wound‑care management, sensory, perceptual, and cognitive processing techniques, manual therapy skills). Take on more clients of a greater variety. Complete assessment and reports independently. Effectively supervise AHA and PT students in clinic. Provide opportunities for new graduates to observe and act as a buddy for new‑grad OTs. Participate in MDT training and workshops. Build skills in particular clinical areas. You Will Also Be Responsible For Take on more complex clients. See a greater variety of clients of all types. Complete AT assessment and reports independently for specialised AT. Supervise PT and AHA students in clinic. Provide mentoring and supervision for OT and new‑grad OTs. How We Will Support You Dedicated admin team.
