Administration Team Leader – Icon Cancer Centre Richmond Location: Melbourne, Victoria, Australia; Employment: Full-time, Permanent, Weekdays only (Monday–Friday); Salary: A$60,000.00–A$70,000.00. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the Senior Administration Manager to coordinate patient appointment times and maintain effective reception services. Supervise and support the Administration team, ensuring smooth operations and high standards of service delivery. Provide flexible support across various roles within the team as needed to optimise patient care. Process and validate Health Fund claims accurately. Manage daily cash, cheque, and credit transactions, ensuring end‑of‑day balance. Deliver superior customer service by ensuring efficient service delivery to patients and their families. Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging input and feedback from team members. Communicate with patients and their families in a compassionate and friendly manner. Provide input and support for staff scheduling and leave coordination or monitor and report on staffing needs to support roster planning. Solve complex doctor requests. Facilitate a large number of patients daily. Manage a high number of inbound calls. Maintain KPIs. Skills & Experience Minimum three years’ experience in a similar role, including proficiency in electronic practice management systems. Familiarity with Medicare, DVA, and Private Health Insurance processes. Strong organisational and time management skills. Clear verbal and written communication abilities. Proficiency in computer systems, particularly in Word and Excel. Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent client service, both internally and externally. Advanced knowledge of medical terminology (preferred).
