Opportunity for Senior Legal Counsel to join a national infrastructure and technology group in a broad commercial role, working closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders. 12‑month contract to start mid/late January. THE COMPANY A leading infrastructure provider with an extensive asset portfolio across Australia. THE ROLE 12‑month contract role to start in mid/late‑Jan 2026. Work anticipated to mainly be general commercial and corporate legal work: General commercial transactions and disputes The ability to quickly understand the commercial, operating, risk and opportunity drivers of the business Long‑term site leasing, licensing and access agreements Sales and procurement services agreements, construction and subcontracts Corporate finance, M&A transactions and joint venture arrangements Asset and corporate acquisitions Experience in negotiating service contracts (upstream and downstream) New business opportunities and innovation Governmental, compliance, risk and regulatory matters affecting the group, including trade practices, telecommunications, environmental, planning and OH&S laws ABOUT YOU You are a 6+ year commercial lawyer with strong transactional skills and the ability to deliver clear, pragmatic advice to senior stakeholders. Any experience managing/mentoring junior team members would also be beneficial. Australian practising certificate and relevant tertiary qualifications. 7+ years PQE, ideally from a reputable firm / in‑house environment. Strong drafting, negotiation, and contract management skills. Experience in commercial and/or corporate transactions. Dispute resolution and external counsel management experience. Able to simplify complex issues and work autonomously in a fast‑paced setting. ON OFFER Hybrid working flexibility. Broad exposure to high‑value commercial, property, and regulatory matters.
