Senior Sous Chef - Acclaimed Melbourne Hospitality Group The Role: Hastings People is partnered with a premium Melbourne Hospitality Group with an impressive stable of venues across the city, to look for a Senior Sous Chef. The role will be responsible for developing, costing and delivering seasonal, conceptual menus whilst creating a positive, nurturing environment in which individuals and the broader team can thrive. Furthermore, you will be responsible for driving profitability, while continuously improving product in line with the upmarket brand, and relevant safety standards. This role reports into the Venue Head Chef and will have you working alongside some of the industry's most recognisable names. Candidate Profile: Experience as a Senior Sous/Sous Chef in a fine dining or hatted environment in Australia or internationally Exceptional management skills and the ability to lead, coach and mentor a high performing team A hands‑on approach and the ability to strategically plan seasonal menu changes High-level communication with colleagues, suppliers and customers A positive and consultative approach to your peers The ability to review operational performance and make improvements where necessary Complete understanding of regulatory compliance across food Full Australian working rights Offer: This role is offering a competitive package comprised of a generous base salary plus super, along with the prospect of overseeing future venue acquisitions.
