Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing Australia/NZ conducts contract GMP testing for human and animal pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and complementary medicine manufacturers at GMP‑licensed sites in Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland. Scientific Officer – Casual (Immediate Start) Operating in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, this ultra‑modern contract‑testing laboratory is seeking a casual Scientific Officer to support day‑to‑day sample receipt and laboratory operations. Key Responsibilities Receive and log samples into eLIMS, and manage daily sample receipt. Maintain client and laboratory staff liaison. Review and register incoming chemicals and materials. Perform facility and equipment maintenance and calibrations, including small‑equipment set‑up such as balances and pipettes. Provide cleaning and other QC laboratory support, including disposal of completed samples. Adhere to cGMP quality systems, accurately record all results, activities and deviations. Use LIMS and other software packages efficiently. Qualifications At a minimum: TAFE certificate in Chemistry, Analytical Science, or a related discipline. Demonstrable experience working within the pharmaceutical or bioanalytical industry in a fast‑paced environment. Familiarity with GMP procedures and strong scientific and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service. About You Ability to multitask under tight timelines. Ability to work within a team with minimal supervision. Strong commitment to customer service and meeting deadlines under pressure.
