Senior Health Information Manager

About the role Permanent full time opportunity to be exposed to a broad scope of responsibilities across clinical coding, activity-based funding, health informatics in a digital facility, and staff management. The successful incumbent / s will be active contributors in a team environment, show initiative and self-motivation, lead quality improvement activities and generally develop health information management skill and expertise in a supportive environment. About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values : Participate in the Coder-Clinician Liaison (CCL) program to clarify retrospective documentation and missed SNAP opportunities. Implement targeted prospective documentation improvement strategies that improve economies of scale. Participate in targeted Diagnostic Related Group (DRG) reviews and other coding audits for data quality improvement purposes. Design and amend AS compliant clinical forms using skills in form design combined with the use of graphical design software including Adobe® InDesign®, Adobe® LiveCycle Designer®, Adobe® Acrobat® and Microsoft Word. Participate in Metro North forms committee to drive clinical form consistency and standardisation.
