Health Information Services Manager The Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) provides dedicated mental health care to young people aged 12-25 in Melbourne’s north and west, along with their families, carers, supporters and kin. Operating at sites across Melbourne’s north and west, PYMHWS is Victoria’s first standalone public mental health service built exclusively around young people’s needs. The service centres every decision – from the front desk to the boardroom – on what young people need. Working in partnership with Orygen, PYMHWS combines world‑leading research, clinical excellence and dedicated governance to deliver seamless, person‑centred care. PYMHWS will maintain clinical excellence while Orygen continues as an essential partner providing research and innovation. Position Details 12 month Fixed‑Term | Full‑time 1.0 EFT | Parkville The Opportunity The Health Information Services Manager will provide support and guidance in all health information related activities at PYMHWS. This role manages the Health Information Services (HIS) team which governs health information and supports the operational management of health information to administrative and clinical teams in community, inpatient, residential and several other specialist areas. The role will work with our multi‑disciplinary workforce of skilled and dynamic clinicians and lived experience (LLE) young people and carer experts. Why Join PYMHWS? Ensuring the accurate collection, storage, analysis, reporting and protection of clinical information, the position will oversee the day‑to‑day functions of the HIS which encompass a wide range of processes such as scanning, freedom of information (FOI), data governance, compliance and auditing. This position is also the appointed Privacy Officer for PYMHWS and provides advice and education on all aspects of privacy as well as coordinating the management of any privacy breaches. What You'll Do Promote evidence‑based practice and the need to monitor health information management outcomes to support effective clinical care Develop and provide education and training to different stakeholders on health information requirements Assist and maintain high standards of privacy, confidentiality and other areas of Health Information governance Support the day‑to‑day activities of the Health Information Service About You ✔️ Bachelor of Health Information Management or equivalent ✔️ Eligible for membership of Health Information Management Association of Australia ✔️ Previous mental health, health information management experience ✔️ Enjoy working collaboratively with various stakeholders across the organisation Ready to Make a Difference?
