Health Information Services Manager Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) is Victoria’s newest public mental health service dedicated to the care of young people aged 12 to 25 experiencing complex mental health challenges. 12 month fixed-term, full-time 1.0 EFT, located in Parkville. The Opportunity The Health Information Services Manager will provide support and guidance in all health information related activities at PYMHWS. This role manages the Health Information Services (HIS) team which governs health information and supports the operational management of health information to administrative and clinical teams in community, inpatient, residential and other specialist areas. About the Role As part of the senior leadership team, the Health Information Services Manager is responsible for managing the HIS team, ensuring accurate collection, storage, analysis, reporting and protection of clinical information. The role oversees day-to-day functions such as scanning, freedom of information (FOI), data governance, compliance and auditing. The position also serves as the appointed Privacy Officer, providing advice and education on privacy and coordinating the management of privacy breaches. What You’ll Do Promote evidence-based practice and monitor health information management outcomes to support effective clinical care. Develop and provide education and training to stakeholders on health information requirements. Assist and maintain high standards of privacy, confidentiality and other areas of health information governance. Support day-to-day activities of the Health Information Service. About You ✔️ Bachelor of Health Information Management or equivalent. ✔️ Eligible for membership of Health Information Management Association of Australia. ✔️ Previous mental health or health information management experience. ✔️ Enjoy working collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation.
