We are looking for experienced and talented Head Chef's/Sous Chef to join our dynamic teams across multiple venues in the Toowoomba region, Queensland. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and customer satisfaction. What you'll be doing Oversee and direct the kitchen staff, including the allocation of tasks and performance management Develop and implement innovative and appealing menu items that cater to customer preferences Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards Manage food inventory, ordering, and cost control to maximise profitability Collaborate with the management team to enhance the overall dining experience Provide coaching and mentorship to the kitchen team to foster their professional development What we're looking for Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a similar hospitality setting Formal culinary training or qualifications in the Hospitality and Tourism industry Proven track record of managing a high-volume kitchen operation and leading a team of chefs Excellent understanding of food preparation, presentation, and food safety regulations Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills to handle challenges quickly and effectively Proficient in inventory management and cost control procedures Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with the team and engage with customers Must have Australian work rights – sponsorship is not available What we offer At the Mencarthy Pub Group, we are committed to providing our employees with a supportive and rewarding work environment.
