Chisholm Institute of TAFE – Dandenong VIC Join a values driven organisation with a commitment to excellence in education Multiple casual positions available $39 per hour plus super About the Role As a casual education access worker, your key responsibilities include: Assist students with planning their education commitments and developing study skills, including managing assessment tasks and reviewing study materials. Explain and support understanding of new procedures, words and concepts expressed in class. Discuss key points of in‑class discussions, important instructions, and assigned tasks that are shared during class with the supported student. Clarify any unclear information with the teacher and student during class. Provide well‑organised notes to summarise academic content, including material presented by PowerPoint slides, videos and other audio‑visual methods. Maintain the independent learning experience for supported students by minimising direct interactions during class as relevant. Undertake other duties as required and as appropriate to the level and nature of the position to support and contribute to the successful operation of Student Support & Engagement. About You You are a highly motivated individual with well‑developed skills in educational support. Qualifications required for the role Essential Previous study at a Certificate IV level or above, or successful completion of VCE/VCE VM Desirable Certificate IV in School‑Based Education Support or Disability Support qualification First Aid certification About Us Chisholm is one of the largest vocational training providers in the state with a team of over 1,400 dedicated staff supporting 41,000 students who choose to study at Chisholm and training at modern campuses across Melbourne’s southeast and online.
