Supports the efficient and effective care, based on clinical standards and best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework, by coordinating patient flow and management functions within the health service/facility. Provides leadership and direction in the delivery of after-hours patient care within the assigned health service/facility in accordance with best practice principles and within a collaborative multidisciplinary framework. Provides leadership in contemporary nursing practice and promotes an environment conducive to innovation and change. Assumes the role of Chief Fire Warden in the event of an emergency in accordance with the health service/facility policies and procedures until appropriate support arrives on site. Qualifications Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse. Relevant postgraduate qualifications (desirable). Evidence of leadership in nursing practice and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary framework. Job Details Fixed term, part‑time, shift worker position, working up to 56 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join us until 21 November 2026. Hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants may be considered for subsequent full‑time, part‑time, or casual vacancies during the twelve months from publication. Salary $130,203 to $136,295 per annum (pro rata). Employer 12% superannuation contribution. Salary range in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. Postgraduate allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type. Benefits Professional development and accelerated pathways.
