Solution Architect- Digital and Ecosystem- Asia Pacific Join to apply for the Solution Architect- Digital and Ecosystem- Asia Pacific role at Western Union Subject: Solution Architect, Digital Product & Ecosystem, Asia Pacific (APAC) Location: Sydney, Australia or Singapore. You will be working with a team of product managers, UI/UX professionals and engineers with a broad range of responsibilities including understanding and validation of features and functionality for digital products and applications, solution design, partner integration, testing and software configuration management of front and back end systems. Build products, systems, and services that are optimized, well organized and maintainable, and have high impact on our end users. Role Responsibilities Lead the market team solutioning and product architecture efforts in Asia Pacific. Develop and implement detailed PRDs in collaboration with central product teams and developers. Ensure that software functionality is implemented with a focus on quality, time to market and system interoperability. Recommend improvements to existing software releases. Work with a range of digital ecosystem partners on payments, wallet, cross border and marketplace vendors on integration, operations and settlement issues. Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate issue resolution with operations, functional and technical teams. Work with a software development team and Service providers in a geographically distributed structure. Works independently on complex projects. Understand agile methodology and follow sprint and release UATs to ensure quality by monitoring unit test, code coverage and integration tests. Role Requirements Experience in the design and architecture of digital wallets, payment applications, digital marketplaces, card processing/tokenization platforms, gateways, remittance products and savings/lending products. Able to produce high quality solution documentation – PRD/Design screens for new products and feature releases. Able to translate commercial, marketing, compliance and legal requirements/data into solution designs and work with a range of internal stakeholders. Able to view components and technology platforms as part of a scalable, interdependent system. Prefer prior hands‑on expertise on ReactJS, React Native, Redux, HTML, CSS, Typescript. Prefer hands‑on expertise on Native iOS or Native Android. Proficient in handling mobile‑specific concerns such as push notifications using Cloud Messaging Web App Architecture, in‑app purchases, and store publishing workflows. Experience with low‑latency data strategies with SQLite, Realm etc for enhanced performance on mobile app. Strong working knowledge of performance optimizations using lazy loading, code splitting, SSR and Webpack‑based bundling on web app. Expertise in SOLID Principles. Deep understanding of API management, REST, GraphQL, and event‑driven architecture. Expertise in building highly responsive and accessible web applications using React.js, with a strong focus on cross‑device UI/UX compatibility. Familiar with Git, Jenkins, Docker, Familiar with AppStore Management. Familiar with a range of data architectures and schemas. Good understanding of AWS Cloud or other cloud environments.
