Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Thomastown for a Laboratory and Field Technician. The Laboratory and Field Technician will be responsible for conducting geotechnical laboratory tests, performing field sampling and testing, and supporting compliance requirements for civil construction projects. Daily tasks include soil, concrete, and aggregate sampling, executing laboratory testing to industry standards, maintaining testing equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation. The role requires collaboration with the laboratory and field team to deliver high‑quality results that meet client and regulatory specifications. Qualifications Experience with geotechnical laboratory testing, including soil, aggregate, and concrete classification and conformance testing. Field testing and sampling expertise, including soil compaction, density, and moisture assessments. Strong technical skills in maintaining and calibrating laboratory and field equipment. Knowledge of compliance requirements, including NATA accreditation and ISO/AS standards. Ability to work collaboratively in a team, meet deadlines, and adapt to various project needs. Valid driver’s license and willingness to work on‑site across project locations. Relevant qualifications or certifications in geoscience, engineering, or a related field are a plus.
