Qualified Civil Plumber — Construction

The Viking Group is part of The Coghlan Group (est. 1958). We deliver trade services across plumbing, solar and electrical. We’re growing and looking for a quality-minded Civil Plumber to join our crew. The role Hands‑on role for a qualified Civil plumber (min. 5 years’ civil construction experience) working across subdivisions, drainage, water infrastructure, commercial civil works and general civil plumbing installation. You’ll work independently and with a small crew, using a digital job system to keep notes, photos and compliance documentation. You'll be working in either Brisbane or Gold Coast area (depending on your skills and location). What you’ll do: Install and maintain civil water, stormwater and sewer infrastructure Perform groundworks, pipe installations, manhole/structure installs and service connections Read and interpret civil plans, set‑outs and specifications Operate in accordance with QBCC, local authority standards and WHS requirements Coordinate with site supervisors, civil contractors and clients Ensure accurate documentation and compliance reporting Troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues efficiently What you’ll bring Cert III in Plumbing and current QLD plumbing & drainage license 5+ years’ civil plumbing or civil construction plumbing Experience with civil drainage, water reticulation, trenching and pipe‑laying Medium–high competency with plant/equipment (e.g., excavators, trench shields) – highly regarded Gas Fitter license (preferred but not essential) Solid understanding of compliance, quality control and site safety. Strong communication, neat presentation and customer care. Current manual driver’s license and full work rights in Australia.
