Patient Transport Officer - Port Macquarie/Kempsey/Macksville/Coffs Harbour NSW Health Job Details Classification: Patient Transport Officer Employment Type: Casual Remuneration: $34.30 per hour plus 12% superannuation Location: Port Macquarie / Kempsey / Macksville / Coffs Harbour Applications Close: Wednesday 26 November 2025 at 11:59pm About the Opportunity We are looking for a highly motivated Patient Transport Officer to contribute to the safe transfer of patients in a variety of situations in the Port Macquarie, Kempsey, Macksville and Coffs Harbour area. You’ll be responsible for providing safe and timely transport of patients and contribute to the delivery of quality care and excellence in customer service within a cost effective and efficient environment. Due to operational requirements, you may be required to travel to another hub within the Mid North Cast Region, with notice provided as needed. Essential Conditions Must hold a current NSW unrestricted Manual Light Rigid Driver's Licence and must not have incurred more than six demerit points in the last three years or had their licence suspended or cancelled in the last two years. Must maintain a cleanly shaven face to obtain an adequate seal to the approved fit‑tested respiratory throughout employment. Full‑time induction course (2 weeks) mandatory for all new staff. May be required to work seven‑day rotational roster including public holidays, early‑morning commencement and late‑evening completion time and a reasonable amount of overtime. Must be able to obtain a Working with Children Check for paid work within NSW. Preferred candidates must be successfully fit tested to an approved respirator prior to gaining employment. Must have Australian work rights (citizens, permanent residents, or valid work visa). Will be required to attend interview/comparative assessment and reference checks after application close.
