Are you looking for an incredible new opportunity to work with a Sydney CBD-based property developer? We have over 10 years of experience specialising in land subdivisions and are currently experiencing an exciting period of growth. With an extensive project pipeline spanning the next 10 years in both Sydney and Melbourne, we are seeking an enthusiastic and capable Assistant Accountant to join our team in a full‑time, office‑based role. Reporting to the Group Accountant, you will gain broad exposure to accounting activities across multiple business entities and play a vital role in supporting the company's financial operations. Key Responsibilities Process accounts payable, including employee reimbursements and corporate credit card expenses Maintain accurate supplier and customer data across multiple integrated systems Prepare and execute payment runs with appropriate validation and controls Reconcile property settlements across various business entities Perform daily bank reconciliations Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions Reconcile rebates and commissions in a timely manner Assist with month‑end and year‑end closing processes Prepare BAS and manage intercompany recharges Conduct cost analysis and support expense management Manage and prepare insurance renewals for group Assist with processing journal entries and financial statements for multiple project companies on a timely basis Perform any other duties within the candidate's range of competencies as required. About You Hold a degree in Commerce or Accounting Be currently undertaking or intending to commence CPA or CA studies Have proficiency in using Xero Have at least one year experience in the real estate industry Understand funding and assist with loan schedules including interest calculations Have excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills Demonstrate strong attention to detail, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively Communicate effectively and build strong working relationships across teams #J-18808-Ljbffr
