Assistant Accountant (Part-Time) Based in Sydney’s Northern Beaches | 2 days per week onsite About Us We’re Northside – a purpose-driven organisation creating real work and community opportunities for people with disability. About the Role We’re looking for an Assistant Accountant to support our Finance Manager across all aspects of accounting. This part-time position (2 days per week) is ideal for someone who values accuracy, teamwork, and the chance to make a meaningful difference every day. Key Responsibilities Process weekly NDIS invoices and claims through the NDIS portal Process supplier invoices and payments (low weekly volume) Perform bank, credit card, and petty cash reconciliations Assist with payroll and timesheet data entry (fortnightly) Follow up on outstanding invoices and prepare month-end debtor reports Assist with ad hoc financial reporting as required Qualifications & Experience Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field Experience using Xero Intermediate Excel skills (formulas, lookup functions, pivot tables) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent time management and organisational skills Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and a results-driven mindset Conditions Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or ability to obtain one) Access to salary packaging (FBT) benefits for permanent staff Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Additional 5 days paid personal leave (pro rata) If you’re ready to bring your accounting skills to a role where you’ll make a genuine impact, we’d love to hear from you.
