About The Role Launch your career in a dynamic and essential industry by joining our Development Assessment team as a Cadet Building Certifier . In this role you’ll gain hands‑on experience while working towards or finalising a recognised qualification in Building Surveying or construction management. Guided by experienced professionals, you’ll develop practical skills in assessing development applications, issuing certificates, conducting inspections and applying the National Construction Code. You’ll work across residential and commercial projects, supporting Council’s building certification programmes, contributing to strategic planning outcomes and ensuring compliance with legislative and policy requirements.The structured training opportunity will equip you with the knowledge and experience needed to become a qualified Building Certifier and make a real impact in your community.The start date for this Cadetship is early 2026. About You Currently enrolled in either a Commonwealth sponsored place at university or a registered training organisation, pursuing an Advanced Diploma in Building Surveying; or In the penultimate or final year of study in Construction Management or Building Surveying qualification Hold a Class C Driver’s Licence and are keen to apply your learning in a practical, fast‑paced environment.
