About the role Launch your career in a dynamic and essential industry by joining our Development Assessment team as a Cadet Building Certifier . In this role, you’ll gain valuable hands‑on experience while working towards (or finalising) a recognised qualification in Building Surveying or construction management. Guided by experienced professionals, you’ll gain practical skills in assessing development applications, issuing certificates, conducting inspections, and applying the National Construction Code. You’ll work across both residential and commercial projects, supporting Council’s building certification programs, contributing to strategic planning outcomes, and helping to ensure compliance with legislative and policy requirements. This structured training opportunity will equip you with the knowledge and experience needed to become a qualified Building Certifier and make a real impact in your community. The start date for this Cadetship is early 2026. Please refer to the Position Description for a more detailed understanding of the role. About You a Commonwealth supported place at university or registered training organisation, in an Advanced Diploma in Building Surveying in penultimate or last year of study in Construction Management / Building Surveying qualification You hold a Class C Driver’s Licence and are keen to apply your learning in a practical, fast‑paced environment.
