The Gig: Reporting to the Store Manager, you’ll assist in managing the day‑to‑day operations of the store, ensuring that all activities run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll support the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring team efficiency. You’ll monitor team performance to maintain high service standards. You’ll train and mentor new and existing team members on procedures, food safety, and customer service. You’ll coach, develop and motivate the team, addressing training or service gaps. You’ll assist in inventory management, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing wastage. You’ll ensure compliance with Virgin Active’s Quality, Security, Safety, and Cleanliness (QSVC) standards. You’ll oversee hygiene, safety, and cleanliness to maintain an excellent member experience. You’ll support cash handling procedures and daily financial reporting, stepping in when required. You’ll assist in executing sales promotions and ensuring merchandise is presented effectively. You’ll collaborate with the team to drive sales while maintaining brand consistency. All about you: You have aligned supervisory experience in a cafe environment and understand the importance of food safety rules. A+ for you. You’re flexible working with a 7‑day rotating roster.
