We are looking for an Account Director to work on the biggest beauty brand in Australia, Mecca. This is a hybrid role open to candidates based in Sydney or Melbourne, with the opportunity for monthly interstate travel for those not based in Melbourne. Qualifications Strong experience across social platforms including Meta, TikTok, Pinterest and Snapchat, with foundational knowledge of search advertising Initiative to lead projects with confidence and passion Strategic planning capabilities and a good understanding of media fundamentals People leadership experience – you’ll have a team of two direct reports, plus dotted lines to wider team resources Excellent relationships with media partners A desire to work in true collaboration with clients and creative teams to deliver holistic marketing campaigns that deliver business results Responsibilities Producing work in the JOY style that delivers outcomes for clients – including client management and media planning, ensuring the highest quality of service and campaign delivery across all media channels Leading a high‑functioning and inspired team – direct reports will be an Account Manager and an Account Coordinator; you are responsible for their growth and development, overseeing and supporting work output, and ensuring delivery from other business units (investment, digital) Being a credible media expert – working closely with the Business Director to ensure that the JOY product delivery for clients is superior quality and best in class Being an active contributing member of the agency – add joy to JOY by actively contributing to the wider JOY team & agency culture, representing values with professionalism Key Tasks Manage the business for Mecca and be a key contact for media communication, building solid and influential relationships with clients and understanding their category and communication needs Anticipate clients’ business needs and proactively approach them with media solutions to help grow their business Collaborate with strategists to develop recommendations in line with strategic business strategy – the business is digital‑centric, so a strong background in digital and social is key Ensure that campaigns are informed by genuine insights and deliver on key objectives Work closely with business leads to identify opportunities for diversified services Keep up to date with marketplace trends and developments, communicating insights to staff and clients Finance, Admin & Reporting Prepare client documentation and financial reconciliation across client business Manage budgeting and monitor client expenditure versus campaign MBA sign‑offs Approve and analyse all client account queries, ensuring responses align with agency guidelines Deliver media reporting accurately and on time Internal Collaboration & Team Management Guide and develop junior staff, mentoring and fostering a collaborative team environment of enthusiasm and success Improve the overall standard of media practice within the agency through up‑skilling of other team members Manage workflow across the group to ensure tasks are delivered on time and the team is continually learning Coordinate integration of connections within different agency functions (strategy, creative, buying) to ensure cohesive service delivery Seniority level Director Employment type Full‑time Job function Advertising and Marketing Industries Advertising Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
