Account Director – LEAF COMMS (Sydney) LEAF COMMS is seeking an experienced Account Director to join our Sydney-based team. This senior role is responsible for leading strategy, driving creative excellence, and overseeing a key group of clients across fashion, beauty and lifestyle. The Account Director will play a pivotal role in agency growth, team development, and the delivery of innovative, values-aligned communications programs. About the Role As Account Director, you will confidently lead a portfolio of LEAF clients. You will manage day‑to‑day relationships, presenting strategy and ensuring smooth workflow across the agency. You will guide campaign ideation and execution, oversee budgets and profitability, and contribute to new business opportunities in partnership with the Director and Head of Communications. Key Responsibilities Operate as the strategic lead across a suite of LEAF clients, overseeing daily management and guiding internal client teams. Manage client budgets and profitability, working closely with the Director. Oversee workflow and agency resourcing, proactively communicating capacity and pressure points. Develop brand and communications strategies informed by client insights, briefs and KPIs. Deepen media, KOL, influencer and industry relationships, with regular face‑to‑face engagement, particularly at a senior level. Lead team brainstorms, ideating industry‑leading creative concepts and showcasing strategic thinking. Mentor and motivate your team, supporting their growth, performance and development. Act as a key member of the LEAF senior team, working alongside the Director and Head of Communications to contribute to agency leadership and culture. Support strategic growth and new business opportunities. The Ideal Candidate Will Have A minimum of 7 years experience in public relations across fashion, lifestyle or beauty. Agency experience is preferred. A strong strategic capability with an ability to think big and present creative concepts. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities with ease. A deep interest in the cultural landscape, spanning social media, beauty, fashion, music, food, interiors and lifestyle. Established senior media, industry and KOL relationships. Proven leadership experience across client and team management. Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
