About the Role: As we continue to evolve within a high-growth phase, the role of the Senior Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager will provide operational leadership to drive Quality Focus across the business and in particular support operations and the customer facing business. As part of our strategic transformation, this role will lead the evolution of Quality from a traditionally control-driven function to a true Quality Assurance partnership model. This includes embedding accountability for Quality Control within Operations while strengthening Quality Assurance leadership across the business. The Senior Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager will champion this transition, ensuring seamless alignment between Operations and Technical teams, and delivering on our commitment to proactive risk management, compliance assurance, and continuous improvement. What You Will Do Execute the QA Strategy. Develop systems that maintain the food quality management framework. Drive continuous improvement through ongoing verification. Lead and coach direct reports to build internal capability. Drive a quality focused culture across all levels of the business. Meet project deadlines and delivers quality results. Support the business with compliance expertise. Ability to develop strong relationships. Ability to work in a complex and pressured environment. What You need to succeed Provide strong leadership to the Greenacre Food Safety & Quality (FSQ) team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and excellence. Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Master’s in Microbiology or Food Science preferred). Bring 5+ years’ experience in senior Quality Assurance or Food Safety leadership within a GFSI-certified (SQF/BRCGS), high-risk food manufacturing environment. Demonstrate a solid understanding of HACCP, regulatory compliance, and major retailer standards (Coles and Woolworths Supplier Excellence, FSANZ). Exhibit deep technical knowledge of QA systems, risk management, and audit requirements, with proven ability to deliver compliance outcomes in complex operations. Possess strong leadership, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across operations, technical, and commercial functions. Show sound commercial acumen and project management capability, driving quality initiatives that enhance performance and compliance. Be proficient in SAP, SharePoint, and Food Safety Portals for documentation, traceability, and reporting. Ideally bring experience in continuous improvement systems (e.g. TRACC, IWS, Lean) and import/export or DAFF regulatory processes. Experience in leading or supporting DAFF and third-party audits. Have prior experience in high-risk food manufacturing, ideally red meat or seafood.
