The Opportunity: Are you ready to elevate your career to the next level? We're seeking a Data Analyst to analyse complex data sets to deliver actionable insights that drive business decisions and growth. You'll collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and data engineers to translate requirements into effective reporting solutions. A strong focus will be on understanding data structures and platforms to optimize analytics and performance. Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect and analyse large datasets to identify trends and insights. Develop clear reports, dashboards, and visualizations for stakeholders. Performance Measurement: Define and track KPIs aligned with business goals. Identify areas for improvement and recommend strategies. Business Insights: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data-driven insights, driving process and revenue improvements. Data Modelling & Profiling: Work with data engineers to analyse and profile data for use in production models supporting analytics. Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data accuracy and integrity through validation checks and by resolving anomalies. Trend & Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to deliver innovative, competitive insights. Data Visualization: Build interactive dashboards and visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for clear communication of data insights. About you: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field 2–5+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, or a related role Strong proficiency in SQL and database systems; working knowledge of Python Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, or Looker Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure Experience or knowledge of AI technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or agent-based systems At Compare the Market and iSelect we offer a dynamic and collaborative work environment where your talents will be recognised and rewarded.
