Macro Group Australia, a family-owned business in South Australia, has led the kangaroo and game meat industry for over 30 years. Known for innovation and excellence, it supplies high-quality kangaroo and game meat to top Australian restaurants and outlets nationwide. Due to our rapid growth and expansion we are currently looking for an E-commerce Customer Service Assistant to join our team. The Position The primary objective of the E-commerce Customer Service Assistant is to manage the daily coordination of customer service and order administration across the Macro Group that includes the ecommerce sites Australian Meats and Wild Oz Pet Products and managing inbound enquiries, daily order processing, and data flow between Shopify and delivery partners. This is a full-time position however we can also consider a part time arrangement for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, social media or live chat in a professional and timely manner. Update and maintain customer records in our CRM system (Gorgias). Provide accurate information on products and services, troubleshooting issues and coordinating deliveries. Process customer orders efficiently in Shopify. Resolve customer complaints and concerns with empathy and professionalism, ensuring customer satisfaction. Collaborate with your team to meet customer service targets and help improve processes. Regularly check the website to ensure product descriptions are clear, consistent and in line with expectations. Management of inventory and the ‘out of stock’ product database to ensure that the website listings are kept current to stock availability. Assist in other duties as needed. E.g. office support and helping the social media team. Assist in coordinating with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure smooth operations. Other administration duties as required i.e. reception relief occasionally, office administration. Who we are looking for We are looking for someone who has worked internally for a company in admin, e-Commerce, CRM and Shopify or similar or a customer service and administrator within the marketing and sales support field. Social media skills and events experience advantageous Experience Gorgias or similar CRM system is preferred (but can be trained) Experience and confidence in online (emails or live chat) and phone customer or client service is essential. Experience with Shopify or similar system preferred. A friendly and professional phone manner with a customer-first approach. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proactive problem-solving ability and can-do attitude towards customer service Experience in a customer service or administration focused role, preferably within eCommerce. The successful candidate must have a positive, can-do attitude, be honest, committed, reliable and punctual with a strong professional work ethic.
