Overview Role: Technical Facilities Manager – Data Centre Operations Location: St Leonards, 2065 Company: BGIS Employment Type: Full-time (Onsite and On-Call) We are seeking a skilled Technical Facilities Manager to oversee the operational management of critical plant and equipment within a data centre environment. You’ll be responsible for implementing BGIS Risk Management practices, ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of all electrical, mechanical, and critical infrastructure systems—including UPS systems and standby generators. Key Responsibilities Manage the efficient operation and maintenance of all critical plant and systems. Implement maintenance, WHSE, and quality management processes. Conduct critical switching activities across electrical, mechanical, UPS, and standby generation systems as required. Participate in on-call roster and respond to operational issues. Manage reactive maintenance and ensure SLA compliance. Support asset lifecycle management, upgrades, and project handovers. Liaise with clients and vendors to maintain strong operational relationships. Deliver minor project management tasks as assigned. About You Proven experience in data centre or critical environment facilities management. Electrical Trade background Strong technical knowledge in electrical, mechanical, UPS, and fire safety systems. Skilled in risk management, safety compliance, and problem-solving. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Flexible, proactive, and solutions-focused approach. Degree or diploma in a relevant engineering discipline is preferred.
