About the Department / Role The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) promotes and protects Australias international interests to support our security and prosperity. We work with international partners and other countries to tackle global challenges, increase trade and investment opportunities, protect international rules, keep our region stable and help Australians overseas. The Salesforce program within DFAT has been running since 2019 and is responsible for a broad remit of new and ongoing work ranging from Consular and Crisis support of Australians overseas, implementation of Trade sanctions and governance, and implementation of Australian Student Scholarship programs, to name a few. We are looking for motivated professionals to join our dynamic team to deliver a sustainable Salesforce ecosystem to manage a complex and varied workload. Salesforce Administrator / Business Analyst : As a Salesforce Administrator / Business Analyst, you will work with clients to illicit and define the business requirements and bridge the gap between business needs and the Salesforce technology. You will gather an understanding and document the business workflows, data and/or requirements. and work with the Solution Lead to design solutions. You will work with the Salesforce developers and testers to communicate the acceptance criteria for their implementation and quality assurance activities. In addition, you will support and enable users, manage data including data load and manipulation, prepare reports, and deliver using configuration. Role Responsibilities Conduct research into clients business requirements, and to illicit and analyse business needs, Understand the clients data and assist with data modelling, Understand the clients business processes and prepare BPMN modelling. Collaborate with the project delivery team and transfer knowledge of the business requirements to allow them to design, implement and test. Enable users to onboard and get the most out of the Salesforce platform. Engage in governance processes to ensure designs are aligned to best practices. Implement approved change requests for low-risk changes (e.g., creation and maintenance of reports, housekeeping, etc.). Support problem and incident determination and resolution activities.
