Overview Maintainer Operator Mechanical - Residential or FIFO - Cape Lambert at Rio Tinto We are looking for an experienced, safety conscious Maintainer Operator Mechanical Technician to join our team at Cape Lambert Power Station. This is a great opportunity for a highly motivated individual with excellent organisational skills and expertise to make a difference to the team. You will be part of a safe and technically disciplined team. Your demonstrated ability to deliver against a wide variety of Mechanical and Operational activities is essential to our teams’ success. Responsibilities Carry out inspections, scheduled and breakdown maintenance and the operation of assets as required at Cape Lambert Power Station. This includes LM6000PF Gas Turbine Generators, Balance of Plant systems encompassing RO water treatment plant, compressed air systems, waste water system, diesel generators and DCS operating platforms. What You’ll Bring A proactive approach and a strong commitment to maintaining our safe working culture. Mechanical trade qualification. Experience and confidence in delivering against your Mechanical trade. Minimum 2 years’ experience in operations and maintenance of LM6000 Gas Turbines & Balance of Plant. Ability to read and interpret P&ID’s. Use, understand and follow GE GEK manual procedures. RO Plant Maintenance and operation. Compressors and Air system maintenance. Diesel generator engine maintenance. A current "C Class" WA Manual Driver’s License. Knowledge and understanding of IHI operating systems. Experience and understanding of Work Management Processes & Practices.
