We are now open to your expression of interest for the role of Design Coordinator based in the Gippsland region of Greater Melbourne. The Role Identify cost efficiency savings where achievable especially in the area of design management Assist with implementing an effective project launch in accordance with project procedures Assist in the preparation of the project Design Management Plan Assist in establishing a design package listing which covers the project design scope and sets out all relevant milestones in the design review and approval process including third party design reviews in accordance with the design program For your area or discipline, participate in the interaction between design and construction resources during the design development and subsequent stages, including effective coordination meetings Assist in the development of an approvals program as a sub-set of the Design Program Monitor progress with design development and approval including designer resources and deliverables, providing support to the Design Manager Participate in design reviews for all design packages as part of the design review and approval process to achieve internal signoff of design Ensure any changes in scope, design or methodology in your area or discipline are communicated to the construction personnel to ensure changes are incorporated in the construction planning Participate in regular reviews with the Project Teams to evaluate alternative design and engineering proposals and ensure they are within the project budget and Obtain verification from design consultants, in the form of reports and certificates that the documented design complies with all relevant items of the Contract and statutory requirements Role Requirements Tertiary (Bachelor) qualification in Construction or Engineering 3 years’ post graduate experience in the field of project delivery. Multi-discipline project experience desirable in Building, Construction, Design Knowledge of project management structure, plans, specifications, standards and implications for project accountabilities Knowledge of design systems Skill in company or business wide level of design planning, development and review of management system Samsung is committed to building diverse and inclusive teams. #J-18808-Ljbffr
