Capability and Communications Officer

The Capability and Communications Officer reports to the Manager, Internal Communications, Enterprise Services, Queensland Shared Services. As the Capability and Communications Officer, you will design, develop and deliver learning and development opportunities across Queensland Shared Services. You will implement capability development initiatives to ensure the ongoing growth and capability of Queensland Shared Services. Roles and Responsibilities Plan and coordinate capability development activities to ensure alignment with current business priorities. Analyse capability development needs, identify priorities and future requirements. Contribute to organisational development initiatives to support the achievement of business objectives, ensuring alignment with Strategic Plans, Workforce Plans, and supporting frameworks/initiatives. Assist in design and facilitation of stakeholder workshops. Coordinate and organise external providers, and workshop logistics such as scheduling, attendance, records management and invoice payments. Research, design, develop and maintain communications, change and capability development programmes and material including training resources, facilitator guides, PowerPoints, SharePoint, eLearning courses etc. using modern digital software and platforms. Maintain accurate records of training activities and provide regular reports to management on progress and outcomes. Engage, consult and build effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure capability and communication initiatives are in line with business objectives and reach mutually successful outcomes. Drive and facilitate change and communication activities within the business and contribute a culture of growth and development. Continuously improve deliverables based on evaluation results and emerging trends in learning and development. Proactively identify and implement improved ways of doing things. Role Requirements Expertise in the coordination and delivery support of learning and development initiatives utilising adult learning principles and methodologies. Research and analytical skills to identify and develop innovative and contemporary capability development initiatives to respond to organisational needs. Promote an organisational culture of continuous learning professional growth. Confidently create engaging communications content using modern digital platforms; present messages in a clear and precise manner and structure written and oral communication, including presentation and facilitation, to ensure clarity. Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders; work autonomously and collaboratively to achieve outcomes. Take personal responsibility for accurate and timely completion of work; commit energy and drive to ensure that work tasks are completed. Applications will remain current for 12 months.
