The role & you As a Network Operator you will provide assistance in the response continuous operation planned and unplanned maintenance of Councils water and wastewater networks. A typical day working as a Network Operator involves Sewer pump station maintenance clearance of sewer blockages and extension of existing sewer mains Water main repairs valve replacements Responding to emergency situations such as water main breaks to ensure minimal impact for our community Introduction to our telemetry / SCADA systems to understand and diagnose issues within the network The successful candidate will Have previous experience in the water wastewater or industrial process industry or a relevant trade qualification Hold a Class C drivers licence and be willing to obtain an MR licence Display a keen interest in the water industry accompanied by the knowledge and theoretical understanding of pumping systems and equipment Be available for on-call call-back and after-hours duties In addition you must hold or be willing to obtain the following : General Construction Induction Card (White Card) First Aid Certificate Confined Spaces Statement of Competency Excavator Certificate of Competency MidCoast Council has a diverse operational workforce and women are encouraged to apply. (Dependent on skills and experience.) An allowance of $133.61 per week will also apply. (Water Allowance) Location: Upon commencement your normal place of work will be the MidCoast Councils Depot located in Tuncurry Grey Gum Road.
