The team behind the much loved Ginger Garlic Restaurant has exciting opportunities for an experienced Chef to join & lead our team in Eltham. With a focus on creative, well‑executed dishes and standout service, the right people will be experienced and passionate with a strong work ethic and the ability to lead and be part of a team to deliver the ultimate customer experience. About the Role Prepare and cook full‑course meals. Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers. Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food‑handling practices. Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, estimate food requirements and costs. Train and clean kitchen and work area. Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience. Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters. Substitute for or assist other cooks during emergencies or rush periods. Communicate efficiently and clearly both in written form and through representation. Be self‑motivated and able to take responsibility. Demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks. Possess excellent organisational skills. Have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team. Have worked on a Tandoor for a minimum of one year.
