7 SPICES INCREDIBLE INDIAN CUISINE – Applecross WA 7 Spices Incredible Indian Cuisine is an Indian restaurant located in Applecross in Perth. It is a 100‑seater fully licensed restaurant with a dance floor. We are looking for a talented Chef who is passionate about food. Position Summary The Chef will be responsible for managing the kitchen operations of 7 Spices Incredible Indian Cuisine. The position requires a highly skilled culinary professional with extensive experience in Indian cuisine – North Indian and South Indian, particularly in the use of the Tandoor. The role involves planning and preparing menus, supervising kitchen staff, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, and maintaining high quality food preparation and presentation. Key Duties and Responsibilities Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure efficient and timely preparation of meals. Supervise, train, and coordinate kitchen staff, allocating tasks and ensuring smooth service. Plan and design seasonal menus in collaboration with management. Monitor and maintain stock levels, manage ordering, and minimise food wastage. Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and hygiene regulations. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment at all times. Develop new recipes and menu items based on food trends and customer feedback. Ensure food quality and presentation standards are consistently met. Prepare and cook dishes, including specialised Indian cuisine using the Tandoor. Manage dietary and allergy‑specific requests in accordance with customer needs. Required Skills and Experience Qualified Chef – Must have completed Cert III and Cert IV Commercial Cooking Must have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry Experience in working with Indian Oven (Tandoor) Excellent communication and organisational skills Able to work in a fast‑paced environment & perform under pressure Dedicated to food quality and control Strong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitisation standards Ability to work nights & weekends is a must.
