Art Therapist GR2 (Integrative Oncology) Employer: Alfred Health (soon to become Bayside Health) Location: The Alfred, Paula Fox Melanoma and Cancer Centre (PFMCC), Brighton East, Victoria 2‑year fixed term appointment until December 2027 with potential for permanent role Part‑time (15.20 hours per fortnight) Art Therapist Grade 2 (AT57‑AT60) About the Role As an experienced Art Therapist, you will provide individual and group art therapy sessions to oncology outpatients, using trauma‑informed, person‑centred approaches to support emotional, psychological and social wellbeing. You will work within a multidisciplinary team—nursing, allied health and complementary therapy professionals—to deliver evidence‑based, holistic supportive cancer care in the Integrative Oncology Unit and Wellness Centre. Key Responsibilities Deliver individual and group art therapy sessions to patients and families Plan and implement trauma‑informed, person‑centred interventions that promote self‑expression, emotional regulation and quality of life Collaborate with allied health professionals to integrate creative and integrative health interventions into patient care plans Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives Participate in ongoing professional development, research and reporting activities Qualifications and Experience Required Completion of a tertiary qualification (Master of Art Therapy or equivalent) Professional registration with the Australian, New Zealand and Asian Creative Arts Therapies Association (ANZACATA) Minimum of two years clinical art therapy experience in a healthcare setting Demonstrated experience delivering individual and group art therapy Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build rapport with patients and families Excellent organisational, time‑management and planning skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT skills Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and delivering person‑centred care Staff Benefits Supportive and dynamic work environment within a leading public hospital Opportunities for professional development and continued learning Salary packaging & novated leasing via Maxxia Flexible health insurance coverage through HCF Health Insurance On‑site car and bike parking (pre‑tax deduction) On‑site fitness facilities through ProSport Health and Fitness Childcare services managed by KU Children’s Services Application Australian residency is required.
