Our high-quality, play-based program supports children’s curiosity, creativity, and learning, and we are looking for educators to join our dedicated team and help enrich our vibrant learning environment. We’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable Part Time Lunch Cover Educators to join our team across our network of Y Kindergartens in Victoria. Whether you’re an experienced educator, newly qualified, or currently studying your Certificate III or Diploma, this is a great opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a supportive, values‑driven environment. Qualifications As a Lunch Cover Educator, you’ll: Support the teaching team during lunch breaks to maintain a caring, safe environment for all children Assist with daily routines, transitions, and supervision across indoor and outdoor play Engage positively with children, helping create a sense of fun and security Work collaboratively with educators and leaders to uphold the Y’s standards of excellence and inclusion What You’ll Bring Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or actively studying toward one of these qualifications) Reliability, warmth, and a team-focused attitude Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certifications (or willingness to obtain) A genuine love for children and a commitment to learning and professional growth Why You’ll Love the Y Earn while you learn — gain practical experience while completing your qualification Be part of a welcoming, inclusive team where your contribution matters Flexible shifts that fit around study, family, or other work commitments Supported by Y Ballarat’s strong network of educators and mentors Make a real difference – even in just a few hours a day.
