Base Pay Range A$70,000.00/yr – A$140,000.00/yr About the Company Family‑owned Australian global business that has built a reputation of creating innovative construction tools and power equipment that delivers vastly improved efficiency and productivity outcomes. About the Role We are seeking candidates with strong Business Development Management (BDM) experience in earthmoving or adjacent industries such as construction, heavy equipment sales, infrastructure contracting, hire or quarry/mining suppliers. As a BDM, you will be responsible for increasing market penetration of our specialist earthmoving range which includes mini dumpers and skid steer loaders by educating customers, supporting product development, and executing the sales plan. You'll work closely with customers, the R&D team, production, and the national sales team to ensure our products deliver exceptional performance and value in real‑world applications. This role involves approximately 75% travel with regular customer visits and account management responsibilities. A fully maintained company vehicle will be provided. Responsibilities Product Development: Develop a deep understanding of the full product range, including accessories and attachments. Competently demonstrate product attributes and applications to potential clients. Provide valuable product feedback and insights to research and development and production teams. Create sales tools and clear execution frameworks for the broader sales team. Assist the National Sales Manager with monthly product forecasting. Business Development: Maintain CRM and sales pipeline management through HubSpot. Achieve targeted volume, contribution goals, and profitable outcomes. Manage your time, travel, and workload through structured monthly planning. Build long‑term, trusted relationships with clients and industry stakeholders. Represent the business at trade events and industry shows. Qualifications Experience or strong knowledge in earthmoving‑related industries such as landscaping, hire, pool construction, plumbing, or general construction. Past experience selling earthmoving equipment including mini dumpers, stand‑on skid steer equipment or associated attachments would be highly regarded. Required Skills Ability to work autonomously with strong self‑reliance. Confident in demonstrating machinery, equipment, or technical products. Strong technical and mechanical aptitude. Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate clear value propositions. Understanding of sales metrics, KPIs, and CRM pipeline management. Proven ability to build strong internal and external relationships. Highly driven, structured, and organised with excellent time‑management skills.
