Senior Manager, Software Development & Delivery - Sydney Position overview: As Senior Manager, Software Development & Delivery, you will lead AUSIEX’s software engineering and delivery function, ensuring technology solutions are aligned with business goals and regulatory needs. You’ll drive transformation, foster innovation, and build high‑performing teams across development, QA, business analysis, and delivery. We specialise in equities execution, clearing & settlement services, and equities administration for financial intermediaries, delivering solutions that seamlessly connect our clients to markets. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor teams: Software Engineering & Development, Quality Assurance, Software Delivery, Business Analytics, and Offshore Partner Liaison(s). Transform strategy into clear delivery plans that support growth. Build and mentor high‑performing teams locally and offshore. Oversee quality, performance, and continuous improvement across all streams. Partner with senior leaders to align delivery with business priorities. Oversee external partners, ensuring compliance and value. Lead modernization efforts including cloud adoption and legacy system upgrades. Qualifications Required Experience & Capabilities 20+ years in software engineering and delivery leadership roles, including cross‑functional and global team management. Strong knowledge of modern development methodologies. Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and microservices architecture. Proven success leading large‑scale transformation programs, including cloud migration and legacy modernization. Demonstrated ability to manage offshore delivery and vendor relationships effectively. Track record of mentoring and developing engineering, QA, and delivery talent. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. Preferred Attributes Experience in financial services or regulated environments. Familiarity with risk, compliance, and governance frameworks.
