Deputy Principal – Department of Education, Western Australia We are seeking a Deputy Principal for Kojonup District High School (DHS), a 3‑month fixed‑term, full‑time position commencing Term 1, 2026 with possible extension and/or permanency. We have a proud history and have served our community since 1863. Located on the Albany Highway between Perth and Albany, our 220 students enjoy a 480‑acre school farm that is integral to their learning journey. The Role In collaboration with the Principal and the administrative team, the Deputy Principal will provide educational leadership by developing and promoting the school vision, supporting the Growth through Learning framework and leading staff, parents and community. Key responsibilities include: Developing and implementing the school business plan and strategic priorities. Establishing and maintaining operational systems and cost‑centre management. Facilitating workforce effectiveness and managing staff performance. Leading the school improvement agenda and driving data‑review processes. Supporting student engagement, positive behaviour, restorative practice and trauma‑informed care. We seek future‑focused leaders who are highly data literate and can champion continuous improvement. Strengths in restorative practice, intervention processes and case management of challenging behaviour are highly valued.
